Meet Our Doctors

Johnny L. Gosier, D.M.D.Frank White, D.D.S.

Dr. White is the only board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Albany, Georgia. Dr. White graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1972. He entered the USMC and served eight years as a line officer. In 1981, he attended the University of Georgia in preparation for admission to Emory University School of Dentistry in 1986. After completing the four year dental school and obtaining his DDS degree, he joined the USN and was accepted into a Graduate Practice Residency (GPR) at Bethesda Naval Hospital. Upon completion, he was assigned to the USS LaSalle AGF-3 which was the command ship in the Persian Gulf for the 7th Fleet. After a one year tour as the dental officer on board the LaSalle, he was assigned as a dental officer at Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. After three years as a general dentist at the Navy yard, Dr. White started his four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Upon completion, Dr. White was assigned to Jacksonville Naval Hospital for a two year tour and then to the John F. Kennedy CV-67 aircraft carrier where he served as the ship's oral surgeon for two years. After twenty four years of military service, Dr. White retired from active duty and established his oral surgery practice in Albany, Ga. Dr. White is CPR and ACLS qualified as well as holding a General Anesthesia Permit by the Georgia State Dental Board. He has also recently passed his American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) office site inspection as required by his specialty board and state component society. Dr. White also volunteers his time to train oral surgery residents at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and is also on staff at Emory University Hospital. He is an assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at both of these institutions.
